Since I LOVE Halloween I am always thinking about what she should be. I think about it all the time but I mostly start looking around July. I JUST LOVE ALL THINGS HALLOWEEN! So this summer I found what I thought would be cute and simple. I found this lady on etsy that makes these ADORABLE capes. Part of the $$ went to Children’s cancer foundation and I thought that was great too. I ordered a precious cape for Gracie and couldn’t wait to let her open it. Well she HATED it. I mean literally would not TOUCH it. I kept showing her how cool it was and she wouldn’t have any part of it. What’s a Mom to do? So I started coming up with Plan B, C, D…. Plan B was Target. I found the really cute Dorothy costume with the ruby slippers and I thought she’d LOVE it. I even went as far to tell her Tessa (my parent’s dog) could be ToTo and ride in her wagon with her. Well, she hated it too. She just looked it and took off running. She cannot be my child. I loved dressing up! So we went with Plan C and stayed VERY SIMPLE. Like $5 simple. Guess who…..

Now I realize Dora does not wear a cute little bow in her hair but we’ll work on that for the real Halloween night. Gracie had a parade and costume party at school today so she got to dress up.
It’s hard to see but I got letters and ironed on D-O-R-A (so maybe people would know who she was!). But she gets to wear her backpack and I made a little “map” to go in it. She really likes it and I guess that’s all that matters!
