Weekend House Stuff

We really didn’t have what I would call a ‘fun’ weekend. We were busy all day Sat. and Sunday with house stuff. Friday I spent the day still resting and trying to recover. I am finally feeling better and getting back to my old self. It has been horrible! It makes you realize how important health is  

Saturday bright and early Kelly and I had a BIG garage sale. We did pretty good and got rid of lots of stuff. Anything that didn’t sell went straight to Goodwill. At the same time as our garage sale we had people all over our house working to fix things. We had people here all day working hard to get our house all ready. Luckily GG and Pop very nicely kept Gracie the whole weekend so I could rest and we get get our house work done. I think Gracie is coming down with another sinus and or ear infection. Last week her Dr. saw her ears and put an antibiotic on hold just in case. I went ahead and picked that up. We had some really bad weather going on and tornadoes in the area. I was in the Walgreens line and tornado sirens were going off. I couldn’t leave because it was my turn and then the lady only sent out 1 prescription. I didn’t notice until I had pulled out so I had to get out, park, and go in soaking wet. Turns out she did send it out in the drive though it just fell out of the basket. So I ran around the building (with sirens going off and the hardest rain going on that I could barely see) only to have to get under a lady’s car to get the sack to find out she had run over it. I had to run to the front again and go in really soaking this time and wait AGAIN as they refilled it. I was one mad soaked lady in Walgreens!! The stuff you do as a mom!!I came home, took a shower and slept for 3 hours!

On to some better news… GG and Pop delivered Gracie back to us this morning and she got to ride in Pop’s big truck for the 1st time.

I hadn’t seen her since Friday morning so she was a little ready for Mommy to hold her!

GG and Pop worked all day over here loading up stuff and furniture from our house to take to a storage. Pop and Kelly had to make 2 trips using Pop’s big truck and the back of my car. We had a lot of stuff!! And then something that made Gracie really happy was Kirk and Ali came by with Maxum.

They played play dough together and somehow Maxum was getting Gracie into hysterical laughter!

She was happy to be at home again and play with all her stuff. I have to report that she went #2 at school again and the teachers sent a note saying she can finally wear panties to school, yea!

We had to delay our house going on the market for another week. With me being sick we just had too much to do. I immediately felt better once I delayed it. We will have all week and this weekend to finish getting things ready then it should be set by Nov. 1st (our original plan)
