A Brag on Mr. Gauger

I don’t get to brag on my hubby very much but I really do now…..

Mr. Gauger was voted Teacher of the Year at our school!

In the above pic he’s with our principal and she was my swimming teacher when I was 3 years old!

It’s a pretty big honor and he’s been nominated before but never won. The announcement was made at our school this week during a special celebration. Fellow teachers and staff from school turn in nominations and then there is always a run off between a few top candidates. This year it was Kelly, a fellow Special Ed teacher, and 2 kindergarten teachers. I thought for sure a kinder teacher would win, everyone loves kinder teachers! Mr. Gauger won the honor this year and gets to fill out some nice paper work and write some fun essays over Christmas break now. In the spring there will be a big celebration for all of Plano ISD and nominated teachers with a dinner and reception. You never know, Kelly could win the whole sha-bang!! Kelly genuinely loves his job more than most teachers and he works very hard! Yea Mr. Gauger. I’m a proud wife
