Gracie is home sick today. So that means I’m home sick with her too. It started on Saturday. She woke us up around 5 and cried when we tried to put her back to bed. We ran a few errands in the morning. Kelly’s friend Mike was in town for the Nebraska game so they left early to tailgate. Gracie was pretty quiet all morning, very unusual. Around 12ish she came and layed her head in my lap and I felt her, burning up. Like 102.3 burning up. Fevers freak me out. I just hate them. I hate having them and I really hate it when she has a fever. I gave her some Motrin and prayed she’d sleep good. She did- 2 hours and woke up still burning up. We had planned to go see Papaw but we decided to stay in and take it easy. Gracie was super good all night. She wasn’t herself but she never whined or complained- until bed time. Her nose got so stuffy that she couldn’t breathe. It took me over an hour to get her to fall asleep. I tried everything I knew, all my tricks! She slept good from 9:30-4:30 then was up still 101.5 fever. We cancelled our Sunday party plans and let her mostly watch tv while we cleaned our house for our open house. I went ahead and took her an after hours clinic because I wanted to get her checked out. She has a sinus infection but I think we caught it really early. Her ears and throat were good, just the nose. Thank goodness for after hours children’s clinics and 24 hour Walgreens!
We went out for a bit today and then I let her paint for the 1st time on her new easel. I know it’s bad I haven’t let her paint yet but there is something about keeping the easel clean that was a nice feeling. Well, it’s broken in now. Thank goodness for the drop cloth I purchased Here she is with her masterpiece.

Poor thing, I hope she is better today! I'll take fevers over throwing up any day...but they are still no fun :( Good luck with your open house!
Sweetest little sick person I know!
