I’m linking up to Kelly’s Korner about things to feed your kids. I only have 1 little girl but food choices/ideas can be SO HARD!! Luckily since turning 3 she eats more and it gets better/easier now but it’s still hard coming up with ideas! Here are some things my little bug LOVES.
For breakfast (if during the week, we are eating on the go, usually in the car)
I’ll make her a ‘waffle taco’ with one of these frozen kind. After it toasts, you fold it up, add a little butter/jelly, throw it in a paper towel and you’re good to go. She loves these! I mostly get the whole wheat or blueberry kind.
For juice I always have this on hand.
It’s the best juice and counts as a serving of veggies Love that! I still mix it with some water and she has this at dinner time or after school.
This is an easy snack/or dinner for her. She loves tortillas! I heat it up in the microwave and some butter and mash up beans. Sometimes I’ll add cheese or rice to the inside too and she loves that too!
I always have these handy too for a yummy hot dog:
They are very good!
She has one of these EVERY SINGLE DAY
She actually requests them. She calls them “shakes” and likes the strawberry kind but I love that she likes them. They are super good for your immune system.
For snacks I always buy the 100 calorie packs. They are great portion sizes for her and easy to bring in the car. One of her favorites:
she also snacks on these:
My girl also loves pb & jelly. This is super easy and we change it up with different kinds of jelly. This is our favorite pb. Only the creamy kind, yum!!
She loves carrot sticks so I throw these on her plate too!
It may sound silly but she also loves ham/turkey sandwiches. I make them fun by using sandwich cutters to make them into fun shapes. Right now we have a dinosaur one, a heart, and a star. She loves them! Look for some sandwich cutters! I found mine at the $1 store but I’m sure they have them other places too.
I got this book a few years ago.
I would recommend it but it does take a lot of planning ahead. It’s all about making your kids favorite things like chicken fingers, pizza, & brownies and slipping in purred veggies. I have just started using it and like it.
I think that’s it! I can’t wait to read all about what other kiddos eat!
Here’s a picture of me and my girl from last year
