Whistle While You Work

After church and lunch on Sunday we had some work to do around the house. All the flowers we planted this spring were gone or about to be gone. It could have been the pesky rabbits we have, or the 50 mph winds we had, or both! Either way, we had to landscaping to do. One of the pleasures with a house on the market, got to keep your yard in tip top shape. Luckily we found reasonable mowers that come because there is no way Kelly could keep up with all the yard upkeep. We went back to Callaway's for different flowers and got busy. Gracie was just having the best time. She kept saying “I’m helping Mommy.” & “I’m a good helper Daddy.”

She helped me do some sweeping and she kept playing her Snow White broom over and over “Whistle While you Work…”

I think I captured a good one above. Caught her off guard!

After the flowers, we had a little business to do in the front yard. A few weeks ago I broke down and bought the St. Joseph statue. It’s supposed to bring you good luck while selling your house. It’s an old wives tale (that some people swear by) that you have to bury the statue by the for sale sign. I wasn’t planning on doing that but what do we have to lose? This was Gracie’s FAVORITE part!

The funny thing is, as we were doing the flowers, she kept putting the St. Joseph in random places in the flower beds.

To her, this was burying him!

We finally did the real burial DSC_0025

Love my little helper. Now we’re just sitting back waiting for the contract to come in Smile

We’re ready St. Joseph, BRING IT.

Where did you get that cute broom? Chandler loves to sweep and clean. That would be a great birthday gift!
