Family Photo Shoot

I decided I wanted to attempt to take some family photos. We really don’t have any decent pictures of us since the beach! While Gracie was napping I got out all my supplies and backdrop. I even steam ironed the backdrop! I got ready and waited, and waited, and waited. Gracie slept almost 3 hours this afternoon. She was worn out! Of coarse she woke up in a not-perfect mood and lines all over her face. The nice thing about taking pictures at home is that you can easily adapt to your toddler’s needs :)

Since she slept so long it was starting to get dark out and where I had the backdrop set up has bad lighting. So- I’m not overly happy with the picture quality. I had to do a lot to lighten the pictures so they are kinda grainy. We did have some cute ones though!

I set my camera up on the tripod and was running back and forth into the shot at the last second. We definitely had way more outtakes then good ones! This one cracks me up. Her shoe had fallen off and she was totally concerned. Kelly was trying to put it on fast and it just didn’t happen!

She was running after me…

Notice Jack? He was wanting in ALL the pictures. I had to crop him out of most of them. He kept wanting to lay on the sheet and it was messing up the background!

Awwww!

Here he is again, laying on the sheet!!

So there you have it. I fully intended on changing her clothes and doing some more but I was exhausted running back and forth and she had enough too.

I made the collage in Picasa

The good thing about having a backdrop and stand is that I can take some more tomorrow :)

What great pictures. I LOVE that last one of you and her and of course where she is hugging Jack. PRICELESS!

And to answer your question on my blog awhile back, Meijers is kind of like a Target, Walmart and Kroger all mixed together. Love it!

Shannon, I love them all! I am so jealous of your backdrop... they look completely professional! I love the colors against the white backdrop and priceless expressions! Such special memories... kudos to Kelly for being "into it", too. I'm not so sure my man would be such a good sport!

Great job, Shannon! I love the one where she's standing on your lap - sweet Mommy and daughter pic. The backdrop has proven to be a great investment already. And to agree with your other friend's comment... Kudos to Kelly. He always appears to be so super cooperative and supportive of all your Mommy priorities! You 2 make a great team. p.S. Where did you get Gracie's dress? I love it!!!
