All About Gracie

DSC_0112

It seems as though our little Gracie is learning so much these days. She’ll say something every day that just amazes me. I love hearing her stories about school and what happened at the babysitter’s house. It’s too funny. (Someone usually cries or got bopped on the head, so she says!)

Her new expression/saying is "Why Mommy?" She says this about EVERYTHING!!I know she's just learning but must there be a why for every last thing?

I’m not sure of her weight but I’m thinking around 25 pounds? She is growing though because her pants are becoming too short. 2T pants are perfect on her now.

She’s become a LOT more active lately and doesn’t really sit still much. She will be still for BARNEY. She says his name correctly now, no more Bardie.

We do watch him at least once a day. I”m okay with it because she does learn a lot from him. She now can sing the entire “I Love you…” song and will get up and dance when Barney is dancing. We also figured out why she kept calling football ‘baseball’. They play baseball on Barney! I am thrilled to announce though that she will FINALLY watch something else now besides Barney. She likes Cailiou now and even watched about 10 minutes of Ruby and Max. Progress!

She went on a little field trip to a small farm today with her babysitter. There were cows and Lisa said she had a good time! There were only 4 kids with Lisa plus another parent so worked out.

She is still liking corn on the cob. She loves oatmeal, toast, apple sauce, orange juice, and chocolate milk. GG and Pop kept her one night last week and gave her some chocolate milk. She was in heaven and the next night before bed she kept saying “I want chocolate milk, chocolate milk!” I’ve been trying to give her choices more now. Yesterday it went something like this:

G: “Gay-cie’s thirsty, I’m thirsty Mommy”

Me: “Do you want orange juice or apple juice?”

G: “Apple Juice”

Me: “You want apple juice?”

G: “Umm, orange juice.”

Me: “Orange juice or apple juice?”

G: “Apple juice”

So I pour her some apple juice and she SCREAMS her head off for orange juice. What can I say? She’s a girl and NEVER happy!

We are so glad the weather is warming up! We went out before dinner tonight to play.

She and Kelly raced to the finish line!

She has been so less-clingy lately and it’s nice! We still hear “I hold you!” but not as much. She’s getting more independent but still likes to pull you into her playroom to play with her. She got her 2nd round of the H1N1 shot today and did very good. Very few tears this time!

Our little, happy muffin!

And one last thing, a little video of Ba, Ba, Black sheep
