What A Day

What a day I had today. One of those days that just seems to be full of bad luck. (Or good luck, depending on how you look at it!) It all started on our way home from Target this morning. A bike cop pulled up next to me. I saw him look at me 2 times then I saw it too, my inspection was past due. I got pulled over (only my 2nd time to EVER get pulled over, the first was when I was 17 in my moms car and she had a headlight out!) He was very nice and told me he was going to write out the ticket but if I got my inspection done soon they would revoke the ticket. Gracie was all “Where’d that man go? Who is zat?” He came back a little bit later and gave me the ticket then told me he was going to change it to a warning and to make sure I went right away. Phew! After swim lessons I got us all changed in the yucky restrooms there and swung by the inspection place. We had to wait about 30 min. They told me I was all set and as I was paying he said, “Oh, we can’t pass your car today. It failed due to bad tires. You need 4 tires.” I was like, “great!” He then proceeded to tell me I could get pulled over again and could get another ticket if the cop wanted to give me one. I knew I was in need of new tires. Toyota just had my car for a full week last week and they told me I needed new ones but in no way did they tell me how bad they were or that they wouldn’t pass inspection. They also didn’t tell me I was 2 months passed my inspection. Luckily we have a Walmart by us. I pulled in to price some new tires. They were very reasonable so they tell me it will be 1-2 hours and I could stay and shop (no thank you) or they would call me. I told them I was just going to walk home because we didn’t live far. I go to get my stroller out because I have Gracie with me through all this and there is no stroller. Really? Now I have to walk with a 2 year old. I did find a car that I put her in and pushed her all the way through the parking lot to the street we had to run across to get to our neighborhood. All was good until she tripped and fell and busted open her knee for like the 3rd time in a month. Now I’m stuck carrying her in the 95++ degree heat the rest of the way. The whole way she’s saying “Where is your car Momma? Where is it?” She just did not get it. We make it home. Hot, tired and yucky from swim class. We ate and then Kelly was able to come home. He was then able to drop us off before his tutoring then we went back to the inspection place, waited another 30 min, and then came home. A good thing there was a McDonalds by because we needed some ice cream, BAD!

Doesn’t ice cream make everything better?

She didn’t go down for a nap until almost 3:00. She usually goes down around 1:30. I had to wake her up at 4:45 and she was Grumpy!

The one good thing is that she went potty for the 1st time in a long time. I didn’t ask her or anything. She went in there, put her potty seat down, jumped on and went! What a stinker she is! She could totally be done but she just won’t do it!!

That is a lousy day :( The heat makes everything 1000x worse too.

Oh, I hate days like that. I think those happen to me...a lot. ;) What should take 30 minutes ends up taking the WHOLE day.

Hope you have a HAPPY day today! :)

That stinks, I've had days like that and they are NO fun, especially when you have kids with you! I'm glad the officer gave you a warning, and I can't BELIEVE it's only the second time you've ever been over (and really, your first doesn't even count!). Lucky!!!
