What the Tornado Leaves Behind

We have our very own tornado here and her name is Gracie. She’s cuter than cute and doesn’t hurt anyone but she can destroy anything and everything, FAST!

This is a typical shot of our living/family room after a few hours. I work constantly on ‘helping’ her to put stuff away. We can sing the clean up song to make it more fun but she HATES putting stuff up!

I intended on making cute little arrows showing you everything out but that just takes too much work! You can just see for yourself all that she has out. Her latest thing is building “towers” with pillows and blankets. She’ll even grab one of the kitchen chairs and bring it in and stack on top of it. There’s lots of babies, her Aqua Doodle on the couch (she likes for us to trace her!), step stools, doll clothes, Kelly’s shoes, (she likes to wear our shoes and walk around) cups, her strawberry shake, mailbox, snack leftovers and much, much, MORE!

Here’s the little tornado hiding on the chair watching Dora. She does love her Dora, Boots, & Swiper these days. She hasn’t even mentioned the “B” word in over a week (Barney). I think we might have moved past him. Thank goodness!

She did surprise me though and out of the blue counted to 5 in Spanish. I like that part of Dora. She knows Spanish so she can come hang out at me and Kelly’s school (ha, ha!!)

So I’m curious, Moms, what does your family room look like???? I can’t imagine those of you with 2-3 + kids!!!

This post made me smile! We have a tornado that lives at our house, too. Don't know what I'm going to do when the little teddy graham gets here, and they outnumber me!!

P.S. I'm glad to hear that you are beyond the Barney stage. . .that is one of my greatest parenting fears - that Cora will discover Barney - shudder!

HaHa! I had a very similar view this morning. I just have to remember that it's their creative juices turning. The other day I tried to clean up behind Annie and Maggie, and Annie was very disappointed that I was messing up her "plan". So funny. :)
