Gracie Drives a Boat

Pop brought a boat down with him to the beach. It was little, only held 4 adults. We all took turns going out in the bay. Gracie was all talk about driving the boat and wearing her lifejacket. We weren’t sure if she was really going to go through with it. I also made her wear her hat. She was not happy about that but I told her it was Pop’s rule!

Luckily Pop’s boat had a shade on it so it kept us partly out of the direct sun. We went before 11 but it was still warm.

Well, she shocked us all. She got right in the boat-lifejacket/hat and all and just sat right down. I had to hold her hat when Pop went fast because it was going to blow off!

After a little drive and seeing some really pretty houses in the Bay, Gracie wanted to drive. She helped Pop steer the boat and she loved it!

Would you believe it’s only her 2nd time in a boat?? Last year was her first when we went on the dolphin cruise in Gulf Shores!!
