Kelly was beyond thrilled when he found out Galveston had a Schlitterbahn. Several years ago we watched the Travel Channels’ best of water parks and it was #1. We knew we had to go and it was really fun. It was very hot and I’m not a big water park person but I had the best time floating down the ‘lazy’ river. It’s not really lazy as it used to be because they have added waves and rapid water but it was nice. What was very nice was that GG kept Gracie at home so we didn’t have to worry about her!!
I didn’t take many pictures but here are the ones I got. Kelly rode most of the rides and I did the wave pool. It was fun but irritating. They would let kids (ages 6-teenagish) ride in the wave pool w/o a tube. There were tons of people and the pool had some pretty good sized waves so these kids would be knocking into you. I really thought one was about to drown. It was a dad with 4 kids (little kids) and he couldn’t keep hold of all of them. The pool is only 4 ft deep but the waves knock you over. I was very close to saying something to a Schlitterbahn employee. Just ridiculous. Here’s the river towards the back where all the people are.
Kelly did the boogie board. The line wasn’t long but it took forever!! (he waited almost 45 min).
Here’s a video I took. He did pretty good and even got applause when he was done. Some girls tried to do this and oh, they were so bad. It was pretty funny to watch!
This is what I did while I waited for him:
Dippin’ Dots the ice-cream of the future. Yumm!!
It was a pretty fun day and I’m glad Kelly got his fix on this water park! Hours later though I still was feeling motion sickness from the river!! I still felt like I was moving. Not a fun feeling :(

That looks so fun! Way to go Kelly! I haven't been to Schlitterbahn since I was a kid. I love how Dippin' Dots has been the "ice cream of the future" for like 20 years...isn't it the future yet? ;)
