Moody Garden Aquarium

We took a little ‘day’ trip to visit the Moody Gardens Aquarium. I hadn’t planned on doing this but Gracie was free and it was great for us to get in some ac fun. Kelly and Pop stayed behind to fish but the rest of us took off for the aquarium around 9:30. It was only about 20 minutes to drive there.

I thought the kids looked so cute. Maxum wore a sea turtle shirt and Gracie wore a fish dress. He was SO excited! First we saw penguins. They were so fun to watch. They were jumping in and swimming right past us. They were for sure showing off!!

Next we found this tank that had sting rays in them. They were so friendly. They kept coming right up to the glass and were watching us. It was pretty cool!

They had this really big sea lion. He was so funny to watch and was performing tricks.

Gracie loved watching the sea lion. She thought he was pretty neat.

They had all sorts of little tables with the neatest sea creatures. They had a big tank of sea horses and they were fun to watch too.

Speaking of sharks, they sure had some. Scary!!!

We found the tank of sea turtles and they were so neat. Papaw and GG liked watching them too.

Maxum couldn’t get to things fast enough. He really loved everything. 

Gracie tired out pretty fast. (I didn’t have a stroller, so she had to walk the entire time!)

The tunnel was fun but too many people!!! After this we headed to the gift shop. GG gave the kids some $$ to spend. Gracie picked out a set of binoculars (noculars to her)/compass/radio and a giant Nemo pen. I was very impressed with the aquarium. I thought it was better than the Dallas one.
We were all hungry so we headed to McAllister's for lunch. We all got club sandwiches and iced tea. So good!!

Ali snapped this of me and Gracie. She looks cute. Excuse my ‘ocean’ hair and little make-up look. I didn’t do my hair all week. Too much humidity so why bother???
These 2!! At least they kept each other entertained :)
