This week is my dad’s birthday so we celebrated last night with a yummy dinner. Kirk grilled out some steaks and I made green beans, potatoes, and a cake!
Pop had some helpers to blow out the candles.
We had such a good night with family and yummy food. After presents and cake we went upstairs for a little Mario Cart. Pop played Maxum then Kelly went against Maxum.
We continued our lazy weekend and it was SO nice! Gracie made me drag out the baby play mat again for her babies then she decided it was a good rest mat to watch Caillou. Thank you to AT & T for on demand and we can watch Caillou any time we want. It makes life with a 2 year old that much easier :)
And then I just had to post this. I was gone this morning for a bit and so Kelly got Gracie dressed. I just laughed my butt off at his idea of an outfit!
You may not see the humor in this but I thought it was just hysterical! Kelly said what’s wrong with black on brown??
I was laughing so hard I even had her paranoid. She kept looking down like saying “what is wrong with this?” It might be the fact that the pants she has on are pretty much tights and she has on a pair of Abbie’s shoes that are still 1 size too big but owell! He said he put a lot of thought into her outfit.
Just an update on potty training. We’ve sorta backed away for a little bit. She still goes potty every day but it’s always me telling her to go. And sometimes she does not want to at all and says “Noooooo!” So we’ve decided to keep taking her a little and just not push it right now. She still goes at the baby sitters house and even at school so that’s good.
Lately she has really been repeating the things I’ve been saying. Tonight I was telling Kelly something and she was in the room. She turned around and started asking me questions about the people I was talking about. I had no idea she was listening!! I guess we’re just going to have to start spelling a lot more with things I don’t want her to know yet :)
And one last thing… a little video. She had just been singing her little heart out to the song “Do your Ears Hang Low” so I get the camera and she STOPS. What else is knew? So, please excuse my voice because I’m the one singing and she’s just playing along. We thought it was cute though!
And just one more thing! I’ve really talked to her this weekend about being sweet to others. She totally knows what she did last week because today when we were grocery shopping she proceeded to tell me she pulled Brooklyn’s hair and she cried. I really really had to try hard no to laugh because she just said it like it was no bid deal. Then she said something like “… and he fell down and cried.” I stopped and got real close to her and told her we need to be nice to our friends and give hugs. She said again “Yeah, I pulled her hair and she cried..” Oops! Where did we go wrong with bullying 101???

Never leave her with Kelly without picking out her clothes!!!! Daddy's don't know style!!
That is absolutely NOT the face of a bully!!! I'm sure she was pushed beyond her limits and eventually had to defend herself!!!! She has never pulled my hair or pushed me. GG
I repeat-Love your blogs'
Maybe she was a little naughty cause someone did that to her--she learned it somewhere. She's too sweet to have any issues but then that's a Grandma's view
Love you "Grams" Sawyer
